Online Layby Terms & Conditions

Your item(s) will not be dispatched to you until the full balance is received
We expect our customers to pay for Layby jewellery items within the agreed period either weekly (over 26 weeks) or monthly (over 6 months)
Payments can be made weekly or monthly. Ad-hoc payments (min. £10.00) can also be made. Payments can be made online in the My Account area at www.ramsdensjewellery.co.uk. Currently, payments for online layby cannot be made in store.
An email reminder will be sent 1 day prior to a payment's 'due date'. If the expected regular payments are not maintained, or if at any point during the agreement less than half of the required payments have been paid then we reserve the right to cancel the sale and return the said jewellery item to stock for resale. However before doing so, we will aim to contact you via email to give you the opportunity to recommence payments and obtain the jewellery.
We will make one attempt for payment on the agreed payment date, if this fails, we will not make any further automatic attempts for the missed payment. You will receive an e-mail advising you if a payment should fail. Should this happen, we will request for the payment to be made within 10 days of receiving the e-mail. If payment is not received within this timeframe your online layby order could be cancelled.
An email will be sent one day after a missed payment.
If a sale is cancelled as a result of non payment or if a customer changes their mind regarding the purchase then we will charge a restocking administration fee of £10 or 10% of the purchase price, whichever is greater. This restocking fee will be waived if another item is placed on Layby in place of the cancelled item, however this action can only be taken once.
The monies that have been paid by you less the cancellation administration fee can be used for a period of 12 months from the cancellation date on any other goods online only via e-wallet. Any goods purchased using these monies must be paid for in full at the time of purchase.
We will refund items returned within 14 days from purchase date in pristine condition if accompanied with the original receipt and with the original Ramsdens refund tag still attached to the item. Note a restocking administration fee of £10 or 10% of the purchase price, whichever is greater will be charged. This restocking fee will be waived if another item is placed on Layby in place of the cancelled item, however this action can only be taken once.
Please be advised that we are unable to process refunds and exchanges for earrings or any jewellery that has been altered in size or personalized.
Goods that are second hand are sold under either the Margin or Global Accounting Schemes, where applicable.

A £1 fee will be charged if you change your payment card during the term. The £1 fee will be charged to your new payment card and will be deducted from the next payment following the change.
Discount codes are excluded from online layby and we reserve the right to cancel or amend any order if used.
