Warranty For Watches

The warranty for watches applies to the movement of the watch only. The warranty will commence from the day of purchase for a period of 12 months.

The warranty does not include:

  1. faults that may arise due to manufacturing defects and does not include the bracelet/strap, links, clasp, case, crown, bezel, dial, hands, pushers, screws, crystals, watch glasses of any type and/or diamonds.
  2. any issues that may arise due to use in or around water and we do not guarantee water resistance unless we state otherwise. Water damage includes crystal fogginess, condensation, movement damage, dial or bezel damage, seals, gaskets, liquid penetration and any issues pertaining to water.
  3. Watch batteries are not covered by this warranty.
  4. Damage to the watch due to accident, neglect or misuse are not covered by this warranty this includes blows, knocks, shocks or damage caused by electrical or magnetic interference.

Note that mechanically powered watches will never keep time as accurately as a quartz watch, a loss or gain of 10 seconds per day is deemed acceptable performance.

Any additional or substitution of parts or accessories not provided by Ramsdens will void this warranty as will third party intervention while the watch is in the warranty period. Also not included is the loss or theft of the watch or any damage done by loss or theft. Damage caused by fire, pressure or natural disaster is not covered. Watch boxes and/or packaging are not covered. Unless stated otherwise Diamond/stone set bezels and dials are custom made.

Ramsdens are not manufacturer authorised agents for any brand of pre-owned watches we may have on sale. This warranty replaces the original manufacturer’s warranty and is not transferable.

Dated items give an approximate manufacturing date, watches that are sold with their original paperwork will be listed by the date sold on the paperwork, you acknowledge that the date of manufacture may be earlier than the paperwork date.
